Portfolio
Here are a few of the sites we've built over the years. Each client was different, and each site reflects that client's unique image.
Click on any of the pictures to go to the
actual live web site, which will open in a new window.
Audience Anonymous
Audience Anonymous provides audience response services for corporate meetings, entertainment produces, and the education market. They needed a simple site that clearly explained the benefits of working with their company.
We did a lot of editorial work on the content here, in addition to building
the site. Effective writing is just one of the ways in which we add value
for our clients. |
Stonegate Antique Prints
The design goal for this online store was to emphasize the beauty of
the prints. Functionally, we needed to provide the store
owner with a way to easily update the print inventory, change categories
around, etc.
Catalog pages are built dynamically from a database. What
you don't see when visiting the site is the back-end administration pages
that the owner uses to add, change, and delete inventory items, as well
as to view and track orders.

Michiko Rocks
Michiko
is a brilliant singer/songwriter who needed a website to help promote
her music. We took some graphical elements she provided, and created
a quirky, deceptively simple site. It's easy to use, but there's
some fairly complicated code under the surface. Two fun features
are a very cool image gallery and the multi-layered Lyrics page,
which presents the words to a number of different songs in an interesting
way.
The site reflects Michiko's personality; quirky and fascinating.
We're rather proud of it.

SEI Chemical
A large site featuring a complete web store, with online credit card
processing. Starting from the client's existing design, we modernized the code and recreated
the site as a set of templates. The client can easily update page contents using Macromedia Contribute, without being in danger of deleting or changing the HTML and CSS code that gives each page its structure.
Contribute is a good solution if you have a web site that you'd like to be able
to update occasionally without having to learn HTML.
The SEI Chemical site also features streaming video, provided through our
partnership with VitalStream. For more on our streaming media capabilities,

Film & Video Stock Shots
A fairly simple, straightforward site. But check out the cool effect on
the Categories page. Note that this was a site renovation project, and
we re-used the client's existing Flash animations to keep the budget within
bounds. The rest of the design is completely our own.

Universal Studios Location & Production Services
Something a bit fancier. The image galleries of the different locations use
a nifty Javascript-based system.
The animation on the home page is done with Javascript, not Flash.

Rx4Pool
This was an enormous project. Our client came to us with a pool instruction
book he had written. There were more than 200 pages, each with a hand-drawn
diagram illustrating a pool shot. We created full-color versions of the diagrams
using Adobe Illustrator, and also had the talented Chris Casady do animations
for twenty of them. Then the whole shebang was formatted into a dynamic web
site, where visitors can buy individual chapters, or the whole book, and then
view it online or download the chapters in PDF format.
Chris Kohout did back-end programming using Perl and a SQL database. User information is kept in the database, and pages are served up on the fly only to those who have paid to see them.
